Lee has
been busy with anchoring the morning show on WAFF-TV48, making
national television appearances on the James Robison show,
getting ready to have a baby, doing womens conferences,
appearing at various churches and did I mention getting ready
to have a baby? Needless to say, this schedule will
have to slow down as the due date of December 9th draws closer.
Lee just returned
from Ft. Worth, Texas were she was featured on the nationally
syndicated show, Life
Today. This is hosted by James and Betty Robison
and is seen on PAX-TV, TBN, Inspirational Network. You
can see it on election day, November 2nd. Please check local

Broadcast
Times
What a wonderful
time Lee had on Saturday, Sept. 17th. 171 women were
in attendance. 43 different churches represented.
We are talking
from Baptist, Methodists, Presbyterians, Church of God, Nazarenes,
and everything in between. They came from everywhere Limestone,
Morgan, Cullman, and Marshall counties.
Lee did
an outstanding job performing. Everyone thought she
was great. Those who had heard her before and thought
she was great, thought she was even greater this time.
Faye Towe, Conference Director
Many of you have
been so kind with your letters of encouragement and prayers
for Lee and Jeffs arrival of their new baby. We
hope you understand the miracle that is taking place even
as your read this. Lee has been very open about the
struggles they have encountered while trying to have an addition
to their family. God has heard their prayers.
And he continues to hear your prayers as well. While
Lee takes some time off the road to prepare for this big day,
please dont forget to continue to offer up your thoughts
and prayers for this family.
While Lee is taking
time off, we are busy preparing for anxious return.
When Lee comes back on the road in 2005, you better watch
out. It is going to be an amazing concert that you will
want to have at your church or event. We are already
scheduling dates for this tour and we want you to experience
this event. Please have your Pastor or event coordinator
to call our office today to get your event put on the calendar.

WHEW!!!!
Another busy weekend for Lee and the Kids to Love Foundation.
Lee began her Labor Day weekend at the Mountain Lakes Resort
located between Langston and Guntersville. There was
standing room only as the campers packed into the Worship
Center for Lees concert. We are already looking
forward to Lees next appearance there on Memorial Day
weekend. So mark your calendars.
Then it was off
to Section Baptist Church to take part in the Labor Day Community
service. Several churches join together on this date
every year. It was a great opportunity for Lee to sing
and share with the many people who were in attendance.
Lee was then scheduled
to stay over and participate in the 30th Annual Section Labor
Day. Approximately 3000 people made their way to the
city park for a day filled with fun for the entire family.
Lee performed during the street dance and the folks in Section
just loved it.
We have just a
few more dates left in this year before Lee takes time off
to have her baby. So please check the schedule and make
plans to attend one of the few concerts remaining. We
are also starting to take bookings for the 2005 year.
We already booking into March of next year so if you are interested
in having Lee at your event or church, please contact our
office today.
Thanks again
for your support and dont forget to visit the new Kids
to Love web site.

Just in case you
havent seen Lee in person or you havent heard
Lee and her husband Jeff are expecting their first
baby. We are all excited for Lee and Jeff and I know
you will want to join all of us in Congratulating them.
Doctors are saying the due date will be just before Christmas
in December.
WHEW! What
a weekend. You talk about covering North Alabama, Lee
did just that on this 4th of July Holiday. She began
on Friday night in concert with Brian Free & Assurance,
and the legendary Stamps Quartet. This concert was held
at the beautiful Decatur Baptist Church. A Big Thank
you to Johnny Burns and the guys for a very professional evening.
These promoters are special friends to the Kids to Love
Foundation and are supporting North Alabama kids with
their concert promoting efforts. We are already looking
forward to the next event on August 13th with Anthony Burger
(from the Gaither Homecoming Videos), Mercys Mark, and
The Regents. A portion of the ticket sales will go to
support the Kids to Love Foundation so go ahead and
make plans to join us. Ticket info: (256) 228-34452.
Then Lee was off
to the Spirit of Freedom Festival being held at McFarland
Park in the Shoals. Lee was able to perform one song
with her producer, Mike Curtis. Many folks were there
to greet her and join in with her as they celebrated Independence
Day in style. From there it was making record time to
get to the Spirit of America Festival in Decatur. The
stage was set, the band was ready, the people were having
a great time when 50 mph wind gust also joined the celebration.
Due to the time delay for the weather conditions, Lee and
the band were unable to perform. But we would like to
say Thank you to all who came up and said a kind word while
were waiting out the storm.
Dont forget:
August 14th at the Whitesburg Baptist Church. The 3rd
Annual Tribute to the Children concert. This years
concert is set to be the best one yet. Marty Raybon,
former lead singer with Shenandoah will be joining Lee Marshall
along with The Michaels, Chris McDaniel, former keyboardist
for Confederate Railroad, Bob Smith, and of course all the
kids. Make plans to join us for this night of celebration
as we continue our work in changing lives of North Alabama
kids.
It was
a great weekend that started off in Scottsboro, Alabama.
Friday night, the Kids to Love Foundation held a concert on
the front lawn of Trinity Baptist Church. The concert
featured Lee and another K2L Foundation artist, New Ground.
This group rocks and they are also nominated for Horizon
Group of the Year so all of you who subscribe to the
Singing News need to vote for New Ground. We were able
to perform to about 400 folks who came out to support K2L
Foundation and the Meth Orphans of Jackson County. Chuck
Phillips from the Jackson County Sheriffs office was
also there to give the audience more information about the
growing problem of Meth in their area. It was a great
night to gain information and to support the Kids to Love
Foundation.
From there Lee
was off to the 1st Baptist Church of Union Grove for two AM
services. The folks there were exceptionally nice and
were excited about having Lee. Not only did they take
really good care of Lee but they also provided some great
tasting sausage balls which hit the spot on any given Sunday
morning.
The evening service
carried Lee to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Morgan City were
Pastor Brian Mosley welcomed several other churches from the
area that was very supportive of the K2L Foundation and Lee
Marshall.
Thanks to all of
you who gave your support to the foundation whether it was
your time, your work, or your financial contributions.
From folks who grilled hamburgers on Friday night, to the
sweet ladies who took care of Lee on Sunday, to all of you
who placed a contribution into the offering plate. You
all hold a special place in our heart but also the heart of
the more than 6000 kids in the state of Alabama who are waiting
to be placed with Forever Families.
In the next few
weeks, a VERY BIG announcement is on the way concerning
Lee Marshall. You will want to keep checking back to see whats
cookin.
Lee just
spent a week doing her first radio tour. This tour gave her
the opportunity to talk about the Kids to Love Foundation
and Lees latest CD. I hope you have been listening
to WRSA-Lite 96.9, WRAB in Arab, and WZCT in Scottsboro.
The stations have picked up Lees single, List
of Things to Do and added it to their heavy rotation.
Feel free to call them up and let them know how much you appreciate
them supporting one of our own. New pictures of the Radio
Tour and the release party are available in our Photo
Gallery.

Lee
Marshall CD Release Party
Its
the one concert all successful artists look forward to performing
and Friday night, Huntsvilles own Lee Marshall got to
do just that. More than 250 family, friends and guest
packed into the Childrens Advocacy Center for the release
party for Lees first CD project, Anchored.
Those
who attended the event enjoyed listening to a live performance
of several cuts from the project. With the stage lights
on, the band starting the music, and Lee Marshall took the
stage for what would turn out to be one of the biggest nights
of her life.
I
have been singing all of my life. I have always wanted
to do more with my music, and I'm so excited about this project"
Other
events of the evening included a duet performance with singer/songwriter/producer,
Mike Curtis of Muscle Shoals. Mike has penned such great
songs as America Will Always Stand with Randy
Travis and has worked with some of the best in country and
gospel music: Blake Shelton, Darryl Worley, Lee Ann Womack
and Josh Turner.
Mike
Curtis is one of the best kept secrets in the music business
today. His talent and passion in the project was from
the heart. We share the same passion and desire to help
adoptive and foster children. The songs we wrote and
the music we recorded will change lives, we know, because
this is a God thing!
United
States Congressman Bud Cramer sent a representative from his
office to deliver a Congressional Record to help celebrate
Lees Release and commend her for work with adoptive
and foster children.
Mr.
Speaker, all of us in North Alabama are proud of Lee and the
work that she has done for our area. I have admired her
energy, compassion, and commitment to the community and on
behalf of every one in North Alabama, I wisher her the best
of luck with her debut album.
If
this one night is any indication about the future of Lee Marshall,
whose day job is the morning News Anchor for WAFF-48 NBC,
who knows what city, what song, what radio station you might
hear her on soon.
